The Vacuum as Black Swan



I have only been in the coffee shop every other day but I have had a few thoughts, among them the idea of vertexes taken literally, topologically as the vertexes of the Feynman particle diagrams. But through the storms and my neighbor dancing in the eclipse like night of midday I managed to begin the classification of all my cube puzzles any of which would make interesting sets for playing. I also read more on Peter Rowlands method of foundational physics and continue to be impressed with his interpretations of the physical world and particles even though with my reading other places such as the net and from various institutions and people I regard physics of our time a a beautiful mess.

Up from the "so called" vibrations with the imaginary numbers we make the amplifier and so to imagine it as if a model of inflation, or better yet jitterbugging of the dark matter and related forces. Rowlands is right to apply the standard model to biological systems- but this is only the beginning to deeper models so applied.

We live subjectively on a higher level language of which we interpret and amplify the deeper truths of physicality (and even deeper assembly language of information) so what is true is perhaps a matter of social or political power only (as in a comment to Lubos of the reference frame blog today). My experience with those of turf and tenure for the most part has not been a pleasant one. I lobbied for the superconducting supercollider but wonder now what it really will achieve if it is not along with fermi lab strictly done without politics? The again no great projects like the pyramids were done without cost over runs- money is very abstract to me lately a sort of meaningless higher level language and in that sense is not a very scientific enterprise that makes the subjective experience of living and trying to do the work of science free of impediments for individual lives of enquirers. There is no measure really of the collective intelligence once it is political and a higher level language- for all practical purposes we are in the stone age still at the beck and call of crackpot priests and greedy overlords.

I think your analysis it right on. You look at the consistency at the foundations which as mathematics of the models or facts of vacua has always been an exploration by analyzing the inconsistency of models. Clearly, as Rowlands said, the fact of 1 + 1 = 2 brings the foundations down to deep and almost metaphysical questions of number theory.


Is there some model among the zillions that would suggest as a reality that the "as newscientist said was a rumor designed to make famous certain bloggers" that a gluino + b = b + Higgs ? I mean experimental evidence or proof aside is this idea intelligible in theory? Certainly the intrinsic chirality (my position from long ago) favoring matter over antimatter is a welcome result. But as Rowlands suggests the weak force does not recognize either the strong or the electric force. What does it mean then in your calculations the mass of such things if we share the same formalism on different physical scales?


I am here on the blogs by accident and not in academia- which on a higher level language seems more political than science as a method of sharing enquiry. Yours is a service to science.

New Scientist today lists a thrilling link to this article:

which ascribes the maintaining of the helix shape of DNA to quantum entanglement between the bases.

Of course more than once the sciencechat forum physicists and biologists chastised me and other for asserting any such quantum effects to organic processes especially the psychological ones.

In view of Rowlands et al trying to apply the standard theory to DNA and if we consider the bonds entangled in the way suggested in this article and in the alternative way in Rowlands of the tenfaced deltahedral stacking then this should send us all into true epiphany of what we are in design and further creative speculations.

Not to mention the idea of what entanglement is at the foundation of things (but I forget that work needs to be done on these levels- for me some of the more advanced relations in the topology apply also from the ideas of Coxeter - that is what is going on between the bases and the number and structure of the molecules themselves using these higher relationships.)

But if in a way the standard or some such model applies we should connect the dots for would not the predominance of matter and handedness apply to the biology as it is an analog of sorts for the standard theory? Where are our creative scientific epiphanies even if this work is to be but small steps doled out over the lifetime of a research scientist? Today's astronauts are tomorrow's underpaid city bus drivers! Apparently we can have bus drivers who bias the field praising their epiphanies as astronauts.

Light and Dimension



*The ability to perceive is not necessarily the same place or measure as the intellect.

*There are physical and evolutionary limits to constructable changing systems of hyperspace perception and understanding.

* Topology, geometry, conveys intelligibility in and is the design that can be interpreted as touching or a consciousness. Gravity is quasi-touching (touch and sight defines geometry see Singh).

* Three branes connected severally by strings are quasi-intelligible as if a three brane natural dimensional space.

* There is a main diagonal-like process of inversion across the whole of a give quasic (n x n) natural dimensional space. In particular 16 cubes may form (with four parities-chiralities) a Mahon hypercuble in a 10 x 10 matrix with only 4 axial colors.

* I image a set of gin cubes of eight colors arranged in various patterns of color by which we can classify such color applications to numbers and groups. But in the transition as some supposed absolute bottom (but below the Planck scale may have no meaning in this context of a uniform color space different from the proposed susy models.) there can be simultaneous places of absolute probabilities- that is the functional directions may be shared between two such points. Thus we have "symmetry building". In a sense then given the quasic and natural dimensions any point may be quasi-simultaneous and thus relative to some space quasi-similiar even if all such points are independent (the queens problem in chess or the super labeling of multiple colors if not the not perceived fact of hypercolor.

* the three space requires 5 knight like motions, three requires seven which can be represented by the diatonic music notation as cubes to describe motion in that space and in four 9 and so on as thing are linked dually gin and bkd as if vertical and normal polyhedral duality.

* A plane (brane, quasic space, ...) in one dimension may be a string in another when we compare the information between say two and three space. What then is a parallelogram in one is a parallelepiped in the other. The orthogonality that planes or stings can be parallel is preserved between this holographic transformation which by the way goes both ways where the quasic ordering changes to the natural cyclic one.

* Thus, we have the idea at the bottom of a metrical non-euclidean space of the flatness of the Pythagorean theorem. (but this idea is certainly unclear, all non-euclidean and Euclidean geometries logically stand or fall together in the design issues of atoms and universes- and yet we can show the Euclidean case on all scales of dimensions as privileged especially when it comes to similarity (congruence, simultaneity, and quadrature of space in pure non-locality)

* Thus from a point (end of a orthogonal string) to a plane parallel the lines never meet- that is in a sense the parallel postulate is quasi-proven logically and is thus quasi-independent of the other (blind as natural dimensioned) Euclidean axioms.

*1 The unfolding or "deflangelation" of the cubic cells of the hypercube in a background of five-space presumably by duality of subcells intersecting in points has to consider the non-adjacent cubes in pairs...

*1.1 what is constructable with material components in three space structurally corresponds with what may appear so in the mathematical formalism.

*1.2 the matrix as an analog to the Conway matrix extended into higher dimensions does not necessarily correspond to the grid count of cells nor the natural representation. We must keep such dimensional interpretation models in mind to sort them out. In particular in four space (here somewhat more complicated for the physics than in three space) we have not the simple matching of 16 cubes of four axes but the matching into a point of the 24 faces of two space as if there are "hypercolors" composed of two of the bicolor others. This continues to n-spaces.

*1.3 in questions of consistency and the quasic field the issues of logic are needed on that of arithmetic in addition and multiplication as complete- are we asking a logic question of physicality? Perhaps as in quasic space where the addition and multiplication are the same description the space is quasi-consistent in as much as it can freely evolve or not as isolated regions or not, or initial regions or not.

1.4 in extending the interpretation of dimensions in to quasicity and the shadow flagelation analogs to Conway's matrix the filled vacuum idea assumes a certain sense of concreteness as principle- especially if such vacua in some models are not recognized in a quasi-real universe of quasi-thermodynamics.

*2 A fractal mapping of similar sets into a part of itself does not necessarily map congruency of patterns that correspond to scale, although holograms approximate this.

*3 To some extent my hyperdimensional physicality models of continuity can describe physical measure.

*4 This chaoscience theoretic principle politically explains or is a basis for political proposals (or their delay over time) for economic models and independent in expression this guarentees the illogic of incomplete models where they can be completed so are not inconsistent (at new lest beginning at infinity) with physical effects.


*5 In the 8x8 quasic grid the twelve positive tesseron faces are AFGI DKMO QTW& If we center on H as the overall cube they compose.

*6 There are then three physically constructable tesserons of what holds together in three space being 8 of the 24 faces (which btw can be considered in some was as the 24 cell as if a point centered tesseract.) But if we image two of them in three space and one in a time direction then the two in the plane mimic a dialectic of a pure four way spinors quaternionally, that is the third direction is linear in this lower flanged model as two plus one dimension in the 1 3 6 10 15 21 sequence which by the way explains the eight dimensional correspondence to the six dimensional symmetry of the 24 unique names of axes of four things taken three at at time. Eventually the 3 + 1 formalism and its hyper and quasic dimension extensions relate to the quadrature of dimensions holonically as in 4+1 and so on.\

What in Physics Can We Hold Concrete

Just as relativity is an approximation to quantum mechanics (see Rowlands and Whitehead on congruence for this idea). String theory is also and approximation to a deeper theory for deep in the idea of simultaneity is the philosophic issue of what we mean by "similar" (see Russel).

Of the general background of what is the physicality of matter, of Newton, Mach, Einstein, and Leibniz (see Penrose) the later generalization of complete relativity needs to be incorporated into unified theories of physics.

At that point what physicality is itself, especially for questions of observation and measure being matters of empirical evidence of still deeper theories, we are open to paradoxes of what may severally seem as concrete interpretations.

But how far can a method of enquiry by deeper approximations go? Will the limit of a style of physics find an ultimate concrete unity that somehow meets such complete relativism- or is the ever more complex states of applying theory as consistent (thus intelligible) mathematics an open process that we as if Achilles chase the elusive tortoise- or as greyhounds around our mechanical race tracks chase the robot rabbit with Alice's dreams of size down some rabbit hole?

The race around the hippodrome until what is finite closes back or not again in the flatland's of infinity is thus run by horses with blinders on to all but their own yet similar creative styles of physics taking time yet somehow already at the end of discovery.

The Higgs particle and mechanism to me is an idea that stands on shaky ground as ultimate theory when this appears as but approximations to deeper ideas of "monads" be they quasons(of 248 symmetry) or ecotoms (emphasizing the vague will of consciousness in the microworld) or some such idea that makes experience and discreteness of space and time with endless potential and variety- if our universe is to be taken at face value as real and intelligible- an experience ultimately of a universe we find livable.

Humans in enquirey in their time and over time are part of the great conversation and grand speculations with their "peers" in a way that each is the creator and each the audience even in isolation engage in the dialog. The great ideas of time and space and matter poised between the ancient heavenly and earthly views of Plato and Aristotle or their modern descendants, Dirac and Eddington, for me last night seemed similar only in that I found the ideas and the world uniformly bizarre.

By the way I see no problem with the 248 dimensional idea to which if it is string theory then string theory would be an approximation to a little deeper physics of the vacua, just as relativity is an approximation to quantum theory.

In fact it may be the key symmetric structure and more general an idea than a narrow view of the Higgs on whatever dimensions or energy.

If in a sense 2 + 2 = 4 and this is consistent and an ideal in reality I see no reason to doubt what happens when we add these group and dimensional numbers. 240 is the eight dimensional close packing of spheres case. 384 - 248 = 136 and 136 - 16 = 120 to hint as what seems partial truths in the numerology. 136 being Eddingtons number involved in the number of protons in the univese and 384 the rigid rotations and inversions of the hypercube (which by the way 192 was a sacred number to Plato, and 240 to Babylon).

In your post right or wrong in the evaluation I can sense your insight worthy of the insight of Riemann on space and dimension. I truely hope that if there is a particle as comprehensive and simple as the Higgs that these are confirmed as your variety.

As to what is accepted as physical or real I had my doubts last night of all such theories of physics, even what I was early on taught about Einstein and so addressed that today in my blog. But I need a rest from the pace of enquiry.

On the Quadrature of Dimension



On the Quadrature of Dimension or (General Polyschematics) [Psch] Written this morning before reading today's blogs:

*1 Mass can be thought of as the maximum expansion of a quasic spatial micro-region.

*2 Quasic space and Natural space descriptions may be independent or jointly determine matter as to measure.

*3 The compass of an expanding micro-region (as if the old water drop model of fission and the mass defects) is commensurable with the idea of frequency discretely and of effects of global inertial measures and transformations.

*4 The polyschemic structure (triangular numbers embedded intelligibly in other simplex numbers) is relative in location transitive and over the quasic field.

*5 The fact of 4 axes having 6 possibilities of two at a time (on any level of initial quasic dimensions hence Fermat's recondite quadrature arithmetical property)
implies part of the combination's may establish the 4D axiom of 2 planes intersecting at a point.

*6 Five axes considered globally (and logically dividing space paradoxically into ghostly measureless regions) may indicate the possibility of quasic symmetry breaking as well the global roots as limitation and a connected yet intelligible generalization of such (flanged) structural intersections of spaces as axioms that may be real. Polyschematic shadow vector structures may be a good candidate for an explanation of "dark matter".

*7 Such Psch DM may interact with matter and the topological dense (or not) natural dimensions. In which case barring totally "cloaked" effects, the atomic structure may by a "creation field" evolve to a higher Z number and still not violate energy conservation. The physis of DM coherently at each stage of evolution limits the physics of natural matter. (the idea of flatness and chance is much deeper than inflation cosmology).

*8 The mind will organize, evolve to some ideal, and interpret the bilateral n-dimensional form from the energy states whether it corresponds to such overt concrete physical principles or not (including those of what is considered as physicality in current physics).

*9 The Psch Principle accounts for the wide variety of irregular structures possible that seems ambiguously distributed as matter in the universe mirroring gravity or not just as the dual structure of the electric field intelligibly corresponds to the nuclear charge Z number by default of global position or at a distance.

Polyschematics (Color Pair Nuclear Principle)

Eventually, and my roommate got the gist of this principle and reminded me of some idea I said to him a few years back- so the view is understandable, even without a formal procedure that would make my investigation of these color cube symmetries a lot easier to study, I find what is needed to develop the mathematics involved.

Recently then I have looked at the four dimensional case and tried to make some sense of it- and using the other term for polytopes, polyschemes I want to distinguish the idea from our usual notions of multi-dimensional symmetry.

In the above illustration of the light inside a house at night, the somewhat hidden symmetries to which the structure of atoms evolve in the background of possibilities I include an artist's sphere covered with hands- for the issue is also this cloaking aspect of chirality- lasers slowing down the atoms as if gamma rays also have the hidden neutrino generation effects that can cut through the natural physis cosmic code like splices in genetic engineering finding some relative stance of rest or being a catalyst to the stellar production of the elements. New Scientist has an article somewhat about this as to perhaps the proton being smaller than we thought- but the general scheme is closer to my model of an atom from a topological stance and as a matter of more discrete but not just quantum physics.

Polyschematic Principle : A nuclear structure is discretely quasized over the 4D continuous atomic field by pairs of color elements (nucleons?) that the 2 x 2 and 3 +1 formalisms both apply. As such the dual of the 120 cell in the nucleus is the 600 cell background, those cells being the general over group of tetrahedra in a quasic grid. In the nucleus the literal bounding structure, a flanged down shadow as concrete, dimensions as nature may and does "see" them is the internal intelligible coherence of volume containing volume projective centers including organic code analogs in a cell nucleus.

In this sense in hyperspace the duality is analogous to the gin and LHC elements of the 3 + 1 three space formalism as a labeling notation.

This principle also applies to the Hydrogen to Helium ration for structures of the first stellar matter and continues to be a principle of star birth and evolving atoms.

But the "generational" aspect of it all (varieties of neutrinos and their oscillations) is a matter of binary informational structure encoding like the difference between the first and last half of the 120 elements as mirror like right or left or right and non-right symmetries (in relation to the concept of color in the string sense and of charge.)

Writing is also a place of such global mental activity involing choices of chirality as in yesterdays new scientist article on the place of learning letters and the reversed confused letters in parts of the brain (and presumably the notions that arise from this mechanism). As such it symbolizes a materially intelligible structure and a sorting of directionality in the uncertainty of an evolving system.

Simply, I vaguely assert in the arithmetical view, in the 8 x 8 grid viewed quasically in three space the 15 squared - 15 divided by 2 = 105 as the significant number, that is 105 + the 15 cubes = 120; that is 63 x 7 x 25 is 21 squared times 5 squared has a four space nuclear dual polytope analog (and so on I imagine generalized to even higher dimensions) to 21 squared - 21 divided by 2 and that divided by 6 x 49 to give 600 as the significant number. Thus the implied effects of the polyscheme may have physical significance in the quasic unified space.

In looking at the axial notations of yesterday I also imagined the assortment of the 16 elements of four axes as not just 8 hypercubes analogous to the 8 of mahoon, but the sixteen with the 32 line elements so labeled with four directions of the planes that intersect thru the volume centered hypercube edges. There is a great deal of work and calculations to be done here but I feel this view, an alternative view and intelligible in design thus a creative view, as essentially and intuitively right.
